International Centre for Urban Security

Chartered under European public law as a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization, ICUS provides a trusted, nonpartisan forum for information, exchange, and research. Its founding officers are policy makers, officials, architects and urban specialists from Europe, Latin America, East Asia, and North America.

The ICUS professional advisory board includes former city mayors, leading manufacturers of urban furnishings and security equipment, international real estate developers, public safety and security experts, and noted criminologists.

ICUS receives support from sponsors and partners in the nonprofit sector, government, and private industry. Its mission is to lead professionals, public officials, academicians, community leaders, and businesspersons in adopting responsible approaches to urban security challenges. ICUS supports the open exchange of information and research on ways to make citizens safer, while enhancing the quality of urban centres.
